Photo Essays
I’ve enjoyed photographing places both near and far. I thought I’d share some of the places, people and events in a series of photo essays. Each photo essay will be full of information about the location or event. I’ve even included links for further research and travel planning. I hope you enjoy them.
Here’s the first one and I’ll add others periodically throughout the year and announce it on the home page as they become available.

October PhotographicAdditional photographs from the very photographic month of October 2008 I didn’t have room for on the blog. As I have documented here and all over the Internet, this past October was one for the books. Nature put on a show unequaled in my lifetime and I hope she repeats it for us all next year. |

Landmark Theatre Photo EssayThe Syracuse Photographers Association arranged to have the historic Landmark Theatre lobby opened on a quiet Sunday morning for its members to enjoy and photograph the splendor of a kind of architecture that has mostly disappeared from America. I hope you enjoy the photos I brought back. |

Thanks, Barrie! I did a lot of photography over the last couple of years that I wanted to share beyond the message boards I belong to.
I like the Journal format in SmugMug, it’s laid out like a photo essay in a magazine but with the added advantage of being able to add links if people want to delve more into the subject.
